Following an already successful first night at The Oobleck last month, The Oobleck Oompah and beer keller returns following last week’s Supersonic Festival for round two on Friday 6th, with a World Cup special event on Saturday 14th June!
Adjoining The Custard Factory’s most exciting new eatery, bar and venue Alfie Bird’s (pizza, burger, cocktails anyone?), The Oobleck’s staple night mixes all of the things you expect from your new local hangout with laughs, great music and even better beer. The best thing of all – it’s both weekly and free, perfect for any post-work shenanigans! Laughs on the 6th comes courtesy of local comedians Aaron Twitchen, Martin Hubrun and Darren Harriott followed by ever-gigging folk rock trio High Horses.
Launching over to the 14th and there’s footy themed fun following the start of the Brazilian World Cup. Ever fancied yourself as quite the frontman/woman? Get into the mood and channel all your hairbrush singing with the help of ROCKSTAR ME’s live(!) band and football themed karaoke before watching England take on Italy in their first match – all whilst swinging your beer steins. The fun doesn’t end when the last whistle is blown however, as Alfie Bird’s celebrates (or commiserates!) with the Keller Klub and DJs.
Both nights kick off at 7pm, make your way down for a belly laugh and a belly full and experience Birmingham’s most exciting new bar for yourself!
